Master bedroom.

We were briefed by the owner of this bedroom within a beachside home to create a calm, peaceful haven she could escape to. The room had a westerly aspect so it was important that we chose a colour that was not only cooling but that also fulfilled the brief of being cocooning. The room was painted in a charcoal brown grey which highlighted her beautiful heirloom pieces of timber furniture. We had a bedhead custom made in silk to provide a textural contrast to the wall behind. To complement her existing pieces the Client requested a dressing table that she could sit at to apply her makeup and use to store jewellery so we sourced an antique fruitwood desk which has the benefit of being able to fold away when not in use. In addition we custom made a silk headboard and ottoman for the foot of the bed and reupholstered existing chairs to tie in with the embroidered silk cushions on the bed.
