Who We Are

We undertake a variety of residential assignments for clients in Sydney and country NSW ranging from colour consultations, to preparing and styling properties for sale, to complete specification and project management of refurbishments including kitchen and bathroom design. In addition to our vast portfolio of suppliers, we also work with a range of trades and artisans including builders, joiners, decorators and soft furnishing makers to provide a bespoke service across all projects.

Having spent more than 10 years living in London, Emily relocated back to Sydney in late 2008 and established The Style Workshop. It was whilst living in London, renovating houses and working in advertising – a career she loved but which didn’t quite give her the creative outlet she craved - she decided to pursue a lifelong dream and study interior design at The Design School London, giving her the impetus to turn the hobby into an everyday job.

Growing up in rural NSW, she always had a passion for interior design and, without the distraction of a big city on the doorstep, spent her childhood scouring antique shops with her mother looking for furniture items to restore and furnish their home with.

It is with this grounding that she now works with Clients with the mantra “People often have lovely things they just don’t always know how to display them to their full potential or may have an old piece they don’t quite know what to do with” . It is with this vision and a creative eye that Emily can give an existing piece a new lease of life and dramatically improve any given room.
